My response!
Commisioner,
I know that Jeremy was given a paper to why he wasn't eligible for parole. This paper doesn't explain any of my questions that I had asked in the previous e-mail. I would like to set up a meeting with you and my family to go over these questions. If this e-mail is a way of avoiding my questions then I will continue talking with the media. You over turned a judgement that Wells had made when we met with him and didn't give any reason to why. People were sent to inspect the house to which my brother had filed as his place to parole out to. Why send people to approve this and then not grant parole. At the parole hearing Jeremy was told that he has only served 7 years on his 15 year sentence, but his Mandatory Release is scheduled for 2010. So how can this be? I'm not the best at math but 2010 is not 8 years away! I think these are all reasonable questions which only you are able to answer. My family and I are willing to do whatever it takes to help my brother get his life back together. Over the years he has shown to us that he can be and will be a productive member of society. With him trying so hard to prove himself to everyone. This is the only reason you are hearing from me. I would not be willing to help him if I myself did not think he deserves another chance and that he is ready. My brother has shown patience, remorse and most of all maturity! These were all key factors in why he was sent to prison! The longer Jeremy is in prison I worry that the harder its going to be for him to get on his feet. Everyday is a struggle for people that have already been trying to make a decent living. He has to start from the beginning! I wish you could put yourself in our shoes it hurts to see someone you love try so hard at something and only get denied at the end of it. Wouldn't you like answers to which someone you loved was denied knowing that they have put so much effort into it? I look forward to our meeting and hope that you can answer my questions.
Thank You,
(Brother of an Inmate)

There Answer!
Dear Mr. (Brother of an Inmate),
Thank you for providing the information requested to enable the Parole Commission to identify the correct inmate.
According to our records Inmate (my brother) last parole consideration was on 10/21/08 at which time he received an 8 month deferral. At that time he was provided a copy of the Parole Action Sheet out lining the reasons for the Commissioner's decision. The inmate may forward a copy of the 10/21/08 decision to you.
Inmate (my brother) next parole consideration will be according to his Parole Eligibility Date (PED) of 06/21/2009 and should be scheduled for sometime in April 2009.
Sincerely,
Wisconsin Parole Commission

Getting answers from Alfonso Graham!
To whom it may concern,
I am a brother of inmate that is incarcerated in Prairie Du Chen. My brother was locked up for crimes he did commit. I am not writing this to plea his innocence or to say he didn't deserve to go to prison! This e-mail is to hopefully find out information on him getting paroled. Year after year we get are hopes up that he will be released and year after year we are disappointed. They sent my brother to prison to be rehabilitated, now that he has finished all of his programs and worked his way down to minimum, they still won't release him. Yet year after year he sits and watches sex offenders, rapists, murderers being released while he is sitting a fifteen year sentenced for a non-violent crime. My question is to the parole board that stated (by commissioner Wells) " I will release him in 6 months as long as he keeps doing what he is doing" Why would you over turn a call made by a commissioner when you had no recollection of what or who the person was? Why would you send people to check on my brothers parole house and then neglect to release him? Why would you lead him and his family on to believe year after year he is coming home? You stated to him several times "you haven't served efficient time for punishment" What is efficient time for punishment? That statement to me is... your rehabilitated but now we are going to punish you for this non-violent crime you committed! My brother was told last year (by parole board) that they would not parole him if he was in a maximum prison. This year he sits patiently in a minimum prison and they give no reason to why they won't release him. They did however manage to send people to look at the home he was paroling out too! They did manage to get everyone in his family excited about the up coming holidays. It has been at least 12 years since my family has had Thanksgiving or Christmas with my brother. I know he is the cause of why he wasn't there for the holidays, but you made us to believe by your actions that this year would be different! Yet another year he sits patiently! I wonder who he will see released this year? My family and I are furious that you can keep doing this to him and us year after year! My goal from here on out will go strictly to getting answers! I will write every news channel! Every newspaper! I will call every radio station until my brother, my family and I get the answers I think we deserve! You see in the news every other day on how prisons are so over crowded! Yet you release less and less prisoners every year! WHY? Cause they haven't served effiecient time for punishment!
